2016 IHSAA State Football Finals In The Books PMG Wraps A Long Week Of Production

For the seventh straight year, Praxis Media Group wrapped up an exhaustive Thanksgiving week producing 12 team introduction videos and a 12 minute feature story for the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s State Football Finals.  Production started Monday, November 21st, with the coaches meeting at Lucas Oil Stadium interviewing each coach for the introduction videos.  The rest of the production took place Wednesday with a set built at Lucas Oil Stadium.  Each team had the opportunity to hold a practice at LOS and PMG interviewed the kids after they wrapped up their practice.  This year editing got tricky since PMG producer Mike Jansen is also the stadium announcer for the Colts and he had to break from editing to announce the Colt VS Steelers game on Thanksgiving.  Editing picked back up Friday morning and each intro was delivered to LOS via FTP in time for each game.   The intros played on the big screens while each team was in the tunnel prior to being introduced. The intro videos also ran simultaneously on FOX Sports Indiana during the live telecast.  The feature story included a package with Indiana Careers In Construction and a feature about the Tornado that hit Kokomo Indiana on August 24th, 2016.  Kokomo and Hamilton Heights were scheduled to play at Lucas Oil Stadium.   The damage to Kokomo was so great the teams decided to cancel their game and join together to clean up an neighborhood hit hard by a tornado.  The feature aired on FOX Sports Indiana in between State Final games.
